Mayuresh is committed to the progress and betterment of society. In an agrarian economy such as India’s, livestock is an important asset that must be conserved. To that end, Mayuresh as part of its social responsibility endeavour has undertaken a large-scale animal welfare project in Rajasthan. Besides this, education is another domain in which the group has invested considerable efforts. An educational institute has been set up in Rajasthan assuring equal learning opportunities to the local youth population.
Animal Welfare
Understanding the significance of cattle as a resource in a farming-based economy such as India, Mayuresh has established a goushala or cow pen at Surajgarh, Rajasthan. What sets this goushala apart is that it tends specifically to cattle that cannot produce milk, free of cost, instead of abandoning such livestock. Mayuresh provides the goushala with full financial support. The animals receive free check-ups on a regular basis by a vet to ensure they are in optimal health.
Promoting Education
In a country where easy access to quality education is difficult, Mayuresh has dedicated itself to helping meet the educational needs of the youth in Rajasthan. The group established the R.K.J.K Barasia Post Graduate College at Surajgarh, Rajasthan which is managed by the Shree Ganpatray Ramkishan Barasia Charitable Trust. In addition to graduation degrees, the college provides post-graduate courses in different fields as well. A mix of professionals from various disciplines serves as the teaching staff, catering to the diverse needs of the students.
